Marketing professionals whether independent or a part of your company need a regular supply of relevant and engaging images to supply social media platforms, blog posts and fresh web content for and about your business. This is where business marketing photography is important and building up a relationship with a professional photographer equally so.
I have regular business clients and I’m always seeking more, this is because I enjoy working with companies, getting to know them and their staff, and producing images for them. I regularly supply images for online content, print media and even for interior decoration of offices. There are benefits in working regularly with the same professional photographer producing your business marketing photography. The first of these is overcoming the reluctance of staff to play a role in making images for your business. Including your staff creates organic images, and working regularly with companies allows me to get to know the staff members who are then generally happy to be involved.
This recent shoot for local IT company BreakwaterIT is a prime example of how regular interaction with a company and it’s staff helps in producing better photographic content. On a very rainy and cold December day, my work at Breakwater included head shots for staff members and some publicity images.
A Christmas jumper festive photo is all very well just before the office party at the end of the year but on a Monday morning a week away from Christmas you have to generally try and inspire a little of the joy and festive feel of Yuletide to your participants! Hats off to the Breakwater team though, not only were some of them donning Christmas jumpers some then were involved in a publicity photograph for the company’s involvement and sponsorship of the “Only the Brave” muddy race event. This second photograph demanded even more from my relationship with the staff members and hopefully their trust in me as we headed out in almost subzero temperatures and rain to produce some of the photographs of the team members taking part in the event in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Thankfully I don’t think I kept them outside in their running gear too long, great fun, with a great team.
