Open Norwich was the setting for a recent conference I had the pleasure of photographing on behalf of the John Innes Institute. A new location for me to photograph at Open Norwich proved itself ideal for conference photography having a great sized main hall, professional lighting and audio, a great gallery area not to mention a great bar/refreshment area at which delegates could easily network whilst also enjoying great hospitality provided by the Open Norwich team.
I was asked to provide coverage of the conference as it’s a conference I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for a number of years. With lots of guest speakers, interactive sessions and brain storming sessions based upon Biological sciences it proved an interesting and engaging conference to photograph for another year and no doubt gave the delegates lots of food for thought for their future careers.
I’ve dropped just a few images of the speakers into this post but the images produced at such an event are used to advertise the phD courses offered by the John Innes Institute in collaboration with the University of East Anglia and as a result feature just as much of the doctoral student experience as they do the talks given throughout the day. It was great to see new scientific networks being formed between the students and these being actively encouraged by those with a number of years in the field of academia and practical bioscience work.
If you have a conference or event you would like photographing then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
