Property photography can be either budget or quality orientated. Images that invite your visitor to stay in a property start by presenting them with inviting lifestyle orientated images which create the right mood and show not only the whole interior and exterior but your hard work styling these.
A recent assignment saw me back in the very popular North Norfolk town of Wells-next-the-Sea. Wells is almost the capital of Norfolk tourism, with a brilliant beach, vibrant eateries and an interesting town all in easy reach of most of Norfolk’s best attractions. On this occasion I was photographing a one bedroom flat beautifully decorated by it’s owner very close to the centre of the town.
Often on these holiday letting assignments I work closely with the property owner arranging decorative props, recreating dining scenarios, and generally making interiors as photogenic as possible, and this occasion was no different. Working on interiors I use additional lighting to correctly light the interiors so that they look as bright and radiant as possible without having a HDR effect which can create an unreal aspect to photographs.
