Interior design photography can include photographing the great work of those styling interiors with beautiful fabric and material choices, furniture and lighting and it can also include the designs of modern kitchens from the ultra modern to those sympathetic to period homes. A recent commission took in both a modern kitchen design and a period home design, photographing both so that the design, manufacturing and installation of these very different kitchens can be shown off to future clients of the company which produced them.
As a photographer it’s great to face the challenge of photographing different designs in their respective settings and to do them justice. It’s often first about establishing the best perspectives to show how the elements of the design work together in the space used. This then gives way to making sure that the lighting features are portrayed in addition to the natural light available before details of the design are covered. The result is a portfolio of images which display the technical design elements and features, details, and the wealth of products available to the designers and clients alike when producing a new interior space together.
I enjoy being privileged enough to experience and photograph these interior designs and to produce portfolios of work for my clients. If you own an interior design company and would like some images of your work produced then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
