The Rural Architect is unsurprisingly an architectural client for whom I’ve now completed a number of assignments as a Norfolk Architectural Photographer. The latest project I was invited to photograph was this garage gym conversion located in rural North Norfolk near the town of Holt. This bespoke build stands in a cottage’s rear garden and is ostensibly a garage like design from the roadside frontage elevation but evidently a boutique gym and sauna from the cottage’s viewpoint with a lovely decking area entrance.
The garage gym allows its owner to pursue a very active fitness regime in the comfort of their own garden with the added feature of a great little sauna to freshen up after or before a workout. The gym’s design incorporates steel bars onto which hanging equipment is fitted, benches, running and rowing machines, punchbags and more. The interior and exterior features lovely lighting with the large pendulous lamps being a particular favourite of mine, aesthetically putting their stamp on this indoor space.
It was a pleasure to photograph this innovative design, to see great use of space, sympathetic design in a rural village and the obviously enjoyed and well-utilised result. I’m looking forward to more architectural photography assignments in the future, so if you need your architectural projects photographing please get in touch.
