Livery Stables Photography

Every website needs updating once in a while, with new content, updated information and new images. Social media content also relies heavily on images, requiring a variety of images to illustrate the activities of a business that can be posted regularly.  My recent assignment to supply a local livery stables photography of their facilities, the farm on which they’re based, and importantly the rides available around the farm, started on a bright sunny day. The brief for the day was to concentrate on the livery facilities with a further visit being planned to show off the farms, menage, jumps and rides all set in beautiful scenery a short drive from Norwich city centre.

Timing photographic shoots is critical. On this occasion I was able to concentrate on areas surrounding the livery buildings and stables. It’s work that can be completed early in the year when the leaves aren’t yet out on the trees, when the fields and rides aren’t quite as beautiful as they are when spring starts in earnest. We hoped for a day of good weather and got it, with lovely blue skies to complement the outdoor photographs. I only hope when I revisit in a month or so’s time that the weather will be as good.

High Ash Farm is a great location, and the livery stables there are enviable. Lots of room to store gear and tack and feed, a great place to ride without having to worry about roads, and to exercise horses with jumps, a menage and great tracks and fields. Working with the livery staff on the day and a few of the owners who were on site we produced images of tack rooms, feed sheds, tools, the warm horse wash, stables, and the onsite kitchen to name but a few.
