On a very recent shoot I visited Norfolk Premier Golf in Blofield, Norwich for a spot of Golf Photography.
Norfolk Premier Golf is an exciting venue to visit, they’ve got a golf driving range which is floodlit, an extensive golfing shop on site, are soon to have an adventure golf course which is for all those who are young at heart and fancy something fun and different , and finally this year they will open their nine hole golf course in the most beautiful surroundings: promising a good and scenic game particularly as the sun goes down on the horizon over the city of Norwich.
My assignment involved production of some action orientated marketing photographs suitable for promoting a dynamic golf facility. We choose to focus on some action photographs of the movement involved in a golf swing to produce unusual almost graphic images that could integrate into advertorials and web based adverts.
I used repeating or stroboscopic flash techniques combined with standard flash techniques to produce the following photographs. Using stroboscopic flash provides a unique look at the movement involved in many sports and creates an image that has a wow factor that naturally captivates the onlooker. It’s not often we get to see a fast sports movement slowed down, divided into particular moments in time by the pulse of a flash and presented to us in a single image but that’s what we were able to present here along side some traditional still images. Add a cool tint and some gritty contrast and hopefully you get some eye-catching images.
I’m continuing to look for sports clubs and societies from cyclists, dancers to gymnasts, fencers etc who are interested in hiring me to produce some images for them. If you are someone who manages a club, business or society or know of someone put them in touch. I hope you like a selection of the images produced for Norfolk Premier Golf.
