A recent assignment saw me travelling around Norfolk producing interiors and architectural photography for a new independent architectural practice in Norfolk. Rebecca Deane runs The Rural Architect an architectural practice specialising in working with rural buildings such as barn conversions. Rebecca asked me to produce photographs of a couple of projects she has worked on for her website portfolio and I visited two Norfolk homes to produce both exterior and interior photographs of her work.
My first visit focussed on a renovated detached home onto which a new extension had been added at the rear of the property. Here I produced both interior and exterior shots and was lucky to get good sunny weather and blue skies under which to photograph the exteriors.
The second part of the assignment, saw me travelling further into North East Norfolk to photograph a barn conversion. On the first visit here the weather didn’t prove quite so good for the exterior shots but was fine for the interiors. This necessitated a second visit whereby I managed to sneak in some exterior shots of the property before a large storm enveloped the farm on which it was located.
It was great fun producing the photographs for The Rural Architect.
