The Norfolk and Norwich Licensed Victualers Association hold an annual event and have done so historically for many many years, in fact well over 150 years. In a peculiar twist for a self-professed fan of Steak and Kidney puddings, the annual event often features a black tie dinner where the diners partake of great big versions of this treasured delight. Can you imagine my disappointment then when I found out that I’d photographed all that needed to be photographed before the puddings were served. I was asked to attend and produce some Event Photography for PR, and press release purposes, on behalf of the Licensed Trade Charity.
Back on track the Association has been important for years in raising money for charitable purposes firstly supporting patrons of the licensed trade and then spreading their remit and in fact the annual diner is used to raise money and not just an excuse to eat the best pudding in all the land. This years annual dinner was a historical one though as the Association is now being dissolved and it’s funds passed onto the Licensed Trade Charity with a special bursary being created for Norfolk. At the dinner a representative of the Licensed Trade Charity received a cheque from Mike Lorenz present chairperson of the Association before everyone enjoyed a great night again raising funds for worthy recipients.
As this was a historical occasion the passing of the cheque from the Association to the Charity and a photograph of the Association members in the bar of the very lovely Unthank Arms public house on Newmarket Street was produced in addition to candid photographs of the drinks reception prior to the meal.
I hope you will get in contact with me if you have any future requirements for event photography.
