The Norfolk Polo Festival at Langley Abbey is a great event for Norfolk Polo and the local area. I managed to attend the second day of the festival this year to produce some photographs on behalf of Mortons Event Hire.
Despite quite dismal weather on the second day of the event, it was still very well attended with attendees taking advantage of great hosts such as Bar11 whilst watching the keenly contested Polo matches. There was a great deal of anticipation when the Norfolk Air Ambulance flew into the festival as to who the pilot was on this particular day and I managed a quick snap of the distinctive bright yellow helicopter on leaving.
My brief was to photographs Mortons Event Hires impressive array of marquees and stretch tents which were being well employed on the morning of the Sunday to keep people a little warmer and drier than would’ve been the case if this company hadn’t been in attendance. Mortons used their very large stretch tent as a bar area for Bar11 and their modular marquees to create a large dining area and further bar area for guests. The tent and marquees looked great and I couldn’t wait for a gap in between chukka’s to cross the polo field and photograph the impressive backdrop to the Polo games that Mortons provided.
Varied work briefs are all part of being a Norfolk Commercial Photographer and hopefully I’ll be asked back next year to photograph more of this exciting festival and catch it on a nice sunny day as was the case on the first day of this two day festival.
