Property Marketing photography: AirBnB properties

Last night I received this email: “We would just like to let you know how pleased we are with the photo session that you had with us at *******. We had an instant booking two minutes after uploading the photos and this weekend have had two more bookings!  Thank you for all the time and effort that you put into producing such good photos”.

I’d told the owners when I visited their converted Barn that once we’d got some new photographs of their Vrbo listed property online that bookings would soar and it seems I wasn’t wrong. It’s all part of producing property marketing photography. You can’t not have great photographs in a competitive market, they not only reflect your property but also how much care you put into managing it, and this translates to the client in a millisecond of seeing your photographs amongst others, it is your branding! Strangely enough, you have to have better photographs than those used to market houses for sale, as the photographs in this case are the first point of sale, not a location specifically or a local school, and this is why I produce photographs with care.

Another recent marketing photography assignment saw me travelling up to Snettisham on the North Norfolk Coast, to visit a lovely terraced cottage in the village. This one again had been furnished and finished with care and was a delight to photograph, with it’s beautifully repainted interior basking in some splendid winter sunshine.
