New gear and new techniques employed on this recent photographic property photography assignment for the owners of Manor Barn at Happisburgh on the Norfolk Coast. Manor Barn is a beautiful self-contained holiday home set on a lovely farm in the Norfolk Countryside, a stones throw from the lovely village of Happisburgh and the beaches at Happisburgh and Cart Gap on the Norfolk Coast. A dog friendly holiday home the property is managed by East Ruston Cottages and lovingly owned by Tracey and Dan.
I utilised my Nikon Z6’s for this work, mirrorless cameras the Z6’s have less shutter shake and the new wide angle lens for the series, the Nikkor 14-30 f4 blew me away with it’s ability to render wide angle vertical lines pleasing in camera before any post production work has even taken place. Mirrorless cameras are the future of photography with live view screens and viewfinder images being particularly detailed and giving the user an accurate view of the exposure to be produced. The addition of the film functionality of these cameras, with wonderful autofocus and stabilisation and lenses that produce still images and moving images with aplomb means that they’re vital and great for the work I’m now producing.
I’m looking forward to not only providing photographs but short films for my clients, selling availability for holiday homes like this one and pushing the market onward as the staycation industry booms.
If you have a holiday home, a home you’d like to sell or another use for interiors and exteriors property photography and film then please get in touch I’d love to hear from you.
