Tourism Photography

One of my latest assignments has involved updating the images on a local Norfolk Broads based tourism website which concentrates on promoting the area to potential visitors. Tourism photography in this case is about beautiful weather, people and places preferably with various fun activities or interesting attractions such as wildlife, eateries or vistas.

I was presented with a long list of favoured locations and attractions and to be honest it was a great excuse to explore locations I haven’t visited in a while in my local area, to rediscover what a special place the Norfolk broads is. The broads are vast areas of wetland most of which is navigable and the area is famed for its wildlife, it’s lovely villages, and of course boating. Some don’t know though that the broads also boast lots of history in the form of the historic wind pumps and mills littering the landscape, the annual attraction of the Grey Seals at Horsey Gap giving birth to their pups, and some fine places to eat and drink particularly on lazy sunny days.

Creating bespoke stock images for use in promoting the broads was great fun, the type of assignment which I’d like to be able to extend indefinitely. The website the images were produced for will hopefully be updated this winter and attract new visitors to the area for years to come. When it’s renewed and refreshed check it out here:

I hope you enjoy a small selection of the images produced.
